Seeing as you're signing up for forums all over the place (Saw your query on MIJET), I suggest trying the gamesx.com forum, where there's a specific X68 area.  It'll be here eventually, but until I work out how to merge the forums, it's over there. 

Also, note that your question about ratios is useless without the vertical res as well, since without both H + V no one can tell what ratio that is.

Subject: X68000  - aspect ratio?
Hi, I was recently looking for some information and took a look at the commonly used emulators (M.e.s.s., win68k and xm6), and noticed they all stretch differently. A 512x512 image gets stretched to about 4:3 in win68k for example, but M.e.s.s. stretches it horizontally up to 768 while xm6 scales it only up to about 640 when aspect ratio options are activated.
But what would be the most accurate way i.e. how would they appear on a real X68k monitor?
