Subject: Stuff I picked up in Japan (2011)
So I've been doing a bit of game shopping this trip.  Normally I don't buy a lot of stuff when I come to Japan, since...  well, since I already own everything I want to buy, more or less.  After the Queensland floods though I find my gaming inventory is somewhat reduced decimated, so I've got some vacant spots on the shelves.

I don't want to replace it all.  I would kinda like to have some of it back, but the majority of it I don't really miss.  So this trip I lowered the purchase barriers a notch or three, and picked up some stuff I'd been after for a while, and a few things that were so cheap I couldn't really refuse them.

1. Super Mario Bros. Wii, 'cause it wasn't too expensive and I heard it was decent.  Sadly I don't have anyone to play multiplayer with, but meh.  That's been my cross to bear since I started gaming.

2. Mario vs Donkey Kong 3 (Mini-Land Mayhem) DS 'cause I loved the original MvDK (my review).  I'd have also bought MvDK 2, but it didn't have a manual and the discount for suffering this indignity was insufficient.

3. Child of Eden, X360 - 'cause Rez was awesome.  No Kinect for me though, I'm a man.  I use real controllers.

4. Odama for GameCube.  A historical sim pinball game with a microphone from the lunatics that made Seaman?  I'm totally in.  Basically new for five bucks.  =D

5. A GBA SP system.  Sadly it's the old model, the backlit-screen version costs five times more, so...  I'll suffer with the old one.

6. Kururin Paradise for the GBA, 'cause it was a dollar, and Corpsicle likes it.  I get way too easily frustrated with it, but (say it with me) it was a dollar.

7. Boulder Dash EX for the GBA, 'cause I luuuurved the original Boulder Dash.  The remixed main theme music is worth the three bucks this cost me.

8. Motoroader MC for PC Engine.  I've always wanted this, and I found a copy for half the normal price  (now $20) and couldn't resist.  It seems to be five-player SuperSprint for the PC Engine.  Totally down with that.

9. Donkey Kong Returns for Wii.  I loved Donkey Kong Country, so.  A natural purchase.

10. The new silver X360 pad.  It was approaching half the price it would be in Australia, so I went for it.

11. Hori 6-button EX2 Turbo for X360.  Cheap, beautiful.

12. Donkey Kong Jungle Beat with Conga controller, for GameCube.  Three bucks, man.  Three bucks!  I'm no dummy, this is a good price.

13. Donkey Konga for GC.  A dollar, and why not?  I already had the controller.  Coulda bought Donkey Konga 2 for three bucks more, but I reckon I'll never play this one and screw it, three bucks will buy lunch.

14. A GameBoy pad adaptor for the N64.  One day I'll get around to using this to import my GameBoy Camera pics into my Mario Studio on the 64DD.  ...nah I'll never do that.  But it was a dollar.

15. Samurai Shodown I for Neo Geo.  Two bucks.

16. Samurai Shodown II for Neo Geo.  Two bucks!

A pretty good haul so far.  =)
