Actually I'm facing some other challenges. Copying the DB files only works if you're using the same version of MySQL, and since I updated from 4 to 5, I've got record length issues out the wazoo. No one can log in to the GameSX forum, but you can browse it as a guest just fine. Not ideal.
So I need to figure that out... Also, turns out I don't have a PSU for a dual core board, so I gotta go get one of those today.
The old server CPU fan was choked with black dust, and the fan was basically hosed as well, so I had to replace that. Luckily I had a celeron mobo sitting around with a great little banshee of a fan on it. Migrated the old server, which was a temp, to a new case. Putting all the new server gear in the old case, will put it online the instant I get a power supply.
Also buying a fucking UPS, and I'm gonna try and reinstate the coyote firewall since it's 900% better than this shitty Buffalo router that forgets it has a fixed IP every time the power goes out...
