Subject: The Vessel
When I was younger I read a lot of Heavy Metal magazines. It was a comic magazine like no other, in my experience. It was chock full of brilliant colour and unusual stories, but the ones I preferred seemed to be European and depicting a dystopian or post-apocalyptic future.
These stories were mad fuel for my imagination. Who doesn't love fallen or forgotten civilizations? It was the thrill of exploring an abandoned building, in space or on another planet or, often enough, here on Earth.
Here's a short 4-pager from Fernando Rubio, an artist whose works I generally enjoy.
