Subject: Focal Length & Angle of View - A Handy Guide
Found this on a photography forum today.  It seems like something others might find useful, especially newbs.

This is relevent to film and full-frame digital cameras, but for the smaller APS-C sensor (like Kidd's D70s) remember that everything's basically off by 50%.  50mm lenses actually behave more like 75mm lenses, so the angle of view is more like 33°.

You're lucky you shoot Nikon.  Canon users have to deal with 1.6x, which is much harder on the brain.  =)
