It's still completely broken.  Your spacing is more or less random, though it's consistent now and then.  I took your 11x12 font and applied a vertical line every 11 pixels, and you can clearly see where it's going bad:

I reversed the colours for clarity.

You might want to start with the overlay and slide the letters around on a different layer until they match.  Just line up the left-most pixel of each letter so it's under the line, and you're good to go.

This seems a bit weird, I sliced the image proportionally with the divider option and I line them up side by side as shown here for both fonts:

I will try again using your image as guide and redo again...

Hi NFG,

I just managed to get sometime to get to the pixel fonts again. I checked the original non-flatten image of the font along with the guided one you posted and I can't figured out why your image seems to have shifted?...

[Image: http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/4900/imager.png]

I placed them top and bottom side by side and everything seems to be in perfectly line up with your guided lines... :\

I will re-export the images again and hopefully it works this time. I guess there are something messed up on my side while exporting the graphics...

Edt: Can you test this version out?

Subject: Font Success!
Looks like you finally nailed this one, good work:

[Image: http://nfggames.com/system/arcade/arcade.php/h-12/z-1/w-11/y-DDR2x/dbl-2/x-Dance%20Dance%20Revolution%20(11x12)]

What was the problem?  Some sort of photoshop garbage introduction when saving the finished file?

I guess it might have been because after I erased the background color and it become transparent, and I somehow shifted the text without knowing. -_-"... Or perhaps it was something photoshop did when saving the file.

The last one I use fireworks only to arrange and save the final image...

Oh well. At least it is works now :D I am going to continue on other fonts. :)

P.S. Guess you might also want to remove the non-working version at the previous page :P

You've screwed it up somehow, the letters appear to be aliased.  Note the border of the capital F and G, they blur together.  Some letters are 11x11, some are 11x12.

Humm.. Weird... I will try again... I haven't alter the font in anyway though.. so it might just be the saving changed some of the font aliasing...

Subject: Metal Warriors Font
New font!  One of my favourite SNES games, with a fairly standard futuristic font.  Weirdly, though it fills an 8x8 grid in the ROM data, the letters are all 8x7 pixels.  In order to accomodate this size the question mark was cut off on the top line, which I think is bizarre.  Some letters seem out of place, like the letter O which is oddly thick compared to the similarly shaped Q.  The shadows are inconsistent, sometimes diagonal, sometimes horizontal or vertical, and sometimes missing or doubled up.  Every letter with a ↘ diagonal has a double shadow which is, frankly, bizarre.

[Image: http://nfggames.com/system/arcade/arcade.php/y-mwar/z-0/dbl-2/x-Metal%20Warriors!]

No lower case letters, and only four punctuation symbols: .'!?

But it comes in two colours!

[Image: http://nfgworld.com/grafx/games/MWAR-splash.png]

The game also had a fairly standard namco/arcade font, but I didn't bother grabbing it.

Gavin asked if I could add the Quake font, as seen on Quakewiki.

So I added [Image: http://nfggames.com/system/arcade/arcade.php/y-quake/z-0/x-Quake%20by%20id]

It's not a particularly noteworthy font.  I'm sure someone agonized over its creation though, and kudos to them for not creating something awful.

Now that MAME has caught up with Cave's more recent titles, here's one I've always liked:

[Image: http://nfggames.com/system/arcade/arcade.php/y-KETSUI/z-0/dbl-2/x-Ketsui%20from%20CAVE]

[Image: http://nfggames.com/system/arcade/arcade.php/y-KETSUI/z-6/dbl-2/x-Ketsui%20from%20CAVE]

As you can see there are two slightly different fonts, one has a more stencil-like appearance.  They're both included in the same file, the first five colours are stencil, the next five normal.  The palettes are ever so slightly different (only in one colour, making the whole thing seem lighter or darker than the other).

Quick update:

[Image: http://nfggames.com/system/arcade/arcade.php/y-rumba/z-1/dbl-0/x-Rumba%20Lumber%20from%20Taito] is a cute, competent little font, but it doesn't go much beyond the basic characters.  It contains a bonus surprise.  [Image: http://nfggames.com/system/arcade/arcade.php/y-rumba/z-1/dbl-1/x-%23%24]
