Nichijou – Utter Insanity

As mentioned previously I’ve been ill, and spending a lot of time watching things I normally wouldn’t have time for. Like Youtube. It’s there that I stumbled across an AMV (go watch it, I’ll wait) that mixes one of my favourite songs with scenes from what appeared to be the most insane anime I’ve ever seen.

And someone says to me “Oh yeah, I love Nichijou.”

That’s the name of the original show, and it’s every bit as batshit insane as the video above would suggest. And it’s uproariously funny. Each half hour show is made of short scenes from the daily lives of some cheefully deranged people. If you’ve ever watched Azumanga Daioh or Yotsuba, you know exactly what you’re getting into here.

I won’t talk much more about the show, but here’s a dozen screenshots. If they doesn’t suggest to you that watching this serious would be a good way to spend your time, nothing will.
